The death toll from torrential rains and floods in southwestern Japan has risen to at least 50.
According to the news agency, torrential rains are continuing in the southern and southwestern parts of Japan, more than 12 people are missing in the rain and flood-affected areas.
The Chief Cabinet Secretary said that more rains are expected in the south-western regions till July 9, the people should take necessary steps to ensure their safety.
According to the news agency, a flood warning has been issued in Kyushu, Nagasaki, Saga and Fukuoka islands.
